Were you excited for the debut of new Knicks Wesley Matthews, DeAndre Jordan and Dennis Smith Jr.? Do you like watching the boys in orange and blue hold an opponent below 100 points (even if they still lose)? Then boy howdy, this was the game for you.
If you are a fan of offense, however, the Knicks’ 96-84 loss didn’t have much to offer except a blizzard of Mike Conley floaters and late-game Marc Gasol fadeaway jumpers. The Grizzlies are bad, but they still have two very good players, which is two more than the Knicks have.
