Although Fred Katz said the Knicks have not had serious enough interest that they “never seriously pursued him in a deal”, the Knicks have been linked to Paul George through various sources in the past couple of days as we approach free agency.
The Clippers’ swingman just turned 34 and is coming off of his healthiest season as a Clipper, playing 70 games for the first time since 2018-19, and was named to his ninth all-star team. Although he is not the same defender as he was in Indiana and OKC, he remains positive on that side of the ball and would be a capable Robin to Jalen Brunson’s Batman as the Knicks pursue a championship.
