The Jazz continued an offseason their offseason of quietly build themselves into contenders on Wednesday, by signing former Knick Emmanuel Mudiay and Jeff Green, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Mudiay’s deal is for one year, though financial terms weren’t reported. Green agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million deal, per ESPN.
Though nobody will mistake these for world-beating signings, both players add depth to a team that has already made big offseason moves in trading for Mike Conley and signing Bojan Bogdanovic. Mudiay, who averaged 14.8 points and 3.9 assists with the Knicks last year, was reportedly sold on playing behind Conley, along with Jazz coach Quin Snyder’s developmental pedigree.
