Enes Kanter finally announced he’s opting into his contract, doing so flamboyantly on Twitter with a photo of himself at a podium with the sign “Make The Knicks Great Again.”
Kanter, after exploring other options, didn’t find a long-term deal that would make it worth leaving $18.6 million on the table. Kanter told The Post he wanted to come back because of the hiring of head coach David Fizdale. Kanter said four to five teams were interested in him, but there is not a lot of cap space this summer to go around.
