An ecstatic Derrick Rose said it felt like “heaven” to be on the court for his first Knicks practice after missing more than weeks for his $21.5 million civil rape trial.
Rose was cleared of all sexual assault charges Thursday in federal court. He rejoined the club for his first practice Saturday.
In his first words since being found not liable, Rose said: “I feel like heaven to be out there. I got through my little situation, but I’m happy to be focusing on nothing but basketball.’’
Rose, in his first season with the Knicks, was away from the club 16 days.
