Derrick Rose is done for the season, and possibly beyond.
The Knicks’ point guard had an MRI that revealed a torn meniscus in his left knee that will require arthroscopic surgery, the team announced on Sunday during their game against the Celtics. The Knicks have five games left on their schedule.
According to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Rose will need surgery, and the recovery time is six-to-eight weeks.
Rose played in just 64 games this season and averaged 18 points, 4.4 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. He will become a free agent in July.
