Derek Fisher on Knicks president Jackson: 'I coach the team'

On the outskirts of the very first training camp session, Phil Jackson sat there with his arms folded, chatting it up with his famous former teammate from the last time the Knicks won a championship.

Willis Reed, 73, got up from his seat and was limping, 45 years after the most famous limp in Knicks history – maybe in NBA history. Except Reed wasn’t moving through a tunnel to save Red Holzman this time. He was leaving the gym at West Point, along with Jackson, and Derek Fisher was again defending his position to the media.

“(Jackson) was here (at training camp).
