Derek Fisher not surprised about Nets' shakeup

Coaching in the NBA is a rough business, says Derek Fisher. So the Knicks coach was not all that surprised to hear about the house cleaning that took place in Brooklyn on Sunday.

“You never want to hear the news about somebody losing a job, no matter where they work, but there’s no surprises in the NBA or in pro sports,” the Knicks’ second-year coach said.

The Nets announced earlier in the day that they were firing coach Lionel Hollins and reassigning general manager Billy King.

Jason Kidd, who coached one year for the Nets before Hollins took over, was at Madison Square Garden with the Milwaukee Bucks Sunday night.
