How It Happened:
The high-octane offense the Nuggets envisioned prior to the season is starting to come to fruition. Denver head coach Mike Malone adjusted his starting lineup last Thursday night and his squad posted 132 points. On Saturday in the Mile High City, the Nuggets continued to ride the momentum by scoring 62 in the first half while building a double-digit lead over the Knicks. Early in the third period, New York mounted a comeback and a Brandon Jennings 3-pointer trimmed Denver’s advantage to just four points with 7:25 remaining in the quarter. However, the Nuggets quickly answered with a 21-7 run to create the necessary breathing room.
