New Knicks coach David Fizdale was at the Museum of Natural History on Monday night but mostly wanted to talk Knicks history.
Fizdale attended the Bill Bradley tribute gala hosted by the Hospital for Special Surgery, and he met several of the Knicks’ 1970s legends who were on hand — Earl Monroe, Willis Reed, Walt Frazier, Dick Barnett.
In fact, Fizdale spent extra time talking up Reed, who flew in from Louisiana.
Fizdale considers himself a basketball history buff and was drawn to join the Knicks over the Suns, Hawks, Charlotte and Orlando partly because of their tradition.
