DETROIT — Knicks coach David Fizdale gave more praise to Wesley Matthews for his seven days of service than mainstay Enes Kanter on their way out.
Fizdale commended Matthews for helping the youngsters in his short time. Meanwhile Fizdale delivered a dig at Kanter for his candidness with the press about his diminished role on the Knicks.
In addition, Fizdale patted the Knicks organization on its back for allowing 32-year-old Matthews to escape his tanking machine, which faced the Pistons on Friday at Little Caesar’s Arena.
