There was no smoke emanating from Damyean Dotson, but he could feel it.
The Knicks guard already had scored the team’s first 11 points and 15 of 22 Friday night before coming down the court to let another 3-pointer fly and make it 18 of 25.
“My last shot was kind of a heat check, I just brought it up and shot it and it went in,” Dotson said Saturday after practice. “Those type of shots, you’re just in the zone. After you make two or three, you get comfortable. You just start letting them go.”
By the time that 3 hit nylon, it was Knicks 25, Timberwolves 19 … Dotson 18.
