At this point last year, the Knicks were 41-27, two games back of this season’s 43-25 team, yet things felt so much different. And by different, I mean better, which is weird considering this year’s team is better, both statistically, and on paper.
So what exactly has changed? Why does this season’s team conjure up so many feelings of frustration, confusion, and malcontent, while last season’s team is looked at through rose-colored glasses, and evokes more positive emotions?
1. Expectations
One of, and maybe the biggest, differences is the expectations. This year’s Knicks are a better team.
