Cleanthony Early, Phil Jackson’s first-ever draft pick, will be featured on the Knicks summer-league team that will compete in Orlando as he attempts a comeback from last season’s gunshot.
Early, selected in the second round at No. 34 in 2014, is a free agent and has been a major disappointment. His career hit rock-bottom last December when he was shot in the knee in a robbery after leaving a Queens strip club in the early morning.
With the Knicks having just five players under contract, Early will have a chance to vie for a bench spot.
Jeff Hornacek was listed as the head coach of the summer league entry.
