Former New York Knicks big man Charles Oakley pled no contest to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct to resolve a case stemming from an alleged cheating incident last month at a Las Vegas casino.
Oakley was arrested in Las Vegas on July 7 and accused of committing a fraudulent act in a gaming establishment, the Nevada Gaming Control Board said.
The violation is considered a Class B felony. If convicted of a first offense, Oakley would have been subject to a sentence of 1-6 years in a state prison and a fine of no more than $10,000.
