It was “Tacko Saturday’’ at the Garden.
The restless Garden fans started chanting, “We want Tacko’’ midway through the fourth quarter for the popular Celtics 7-foot-5 rookie center Tacko Fall.
And Boston coach Brad Stevens heard it. The jolly green giant came in with 3:38 left and the Celtics comfortably ahead. Fall, who was listed as 7-7 in college at Central Florida, promptly scored on two dunks as the Garden erupted.
It was the first points of his NBA career.
“I didn’t expect it here,’’ Fall said after the Celtics’ 118-95 win over the Knicks.
