The Lloyd Daniels story so moved Carmelo Anthony, he wanted to get involved. Anthony has his hand in many business endeavors, which now includes documentary films.
It was announced Anthony is the executive producer of the new film on NYC playground legend Lloyd “Swee’ Pea” Daniels of the 1980s and ’90s called “The Legend of Swee’ Pea.”
Anthony, according to a source, funded the documentary and lent his advice. Anthony grew up in Brooklyn until his teenage years, when he moved to Baltimore, and knows Daniels. The Daniels flick made its world premiere at DOC NYC on Tuesday at the IFC Film Center.
