Carmelo Anthony’s legs are back — and his shot is proving it

Carmelo Anthony is getting hotter and his legs healthier.

Sixteen days ago, Anthony said his flat jump shot and sub-40 percent field-goal percentage were due to not regaining the power in his legs after undergoing surgery to repair a torn left patellar tendon last February.

In continuing his surge, Anthony’s jump shot was true and terrific in Sunday’s 95-87 victory over the Pelicans, and he said he’s feeling closer to normal. Anthony’s knee rehab ended in the middle of October, but then came the process of restoring NBA game shape after not playing since mid-February and most of the summer.
