Carmelo Anthony takes his gun violence message to the ESPYS

Enough is enough.

That’s the message Carmelo Anthony delivered Wednesday night at the opening of the ESPY Awards.

With just a dark backdrop behind him and Dwayne Wade, Chris Paul and LeBron James to his side, Anthony delivered a powerful message which called for the end of gun violence.

“We cannot ignore the current realities of the United States of America,” he said. “…The system is broken. The problem is not new. The urgency to create change is at an all-time high.”

Wade, Anthony’s former Olympic teammate and Bulls’ offseason signing, then added on to Anthony’s call to action.
