Carmelo Anthony reveals he scored Knicks-record 62 out of anger

It’s funny how Mike & Clyde kicked the night off on January 24, 2014.

“Just go out and play like this game means something to you,” Breen said. “Right. Reckless abandon. Hard, playing hard and smart,” Frazier replied.

Tell Carmelo Anthony about it.

Whether he overheard those comments or not, Melo entered the game against the hapless Charlotte Bobcats determined to stitch his name in golden letters in the history books of the New York Knickerbockers. And that’s exactly what he did as he poured buckets from all over finishing that otherwise meaningless game with a (still standing) franchise-record 62 points.
