CLEVELAND — So far, so good for Carmelo Anthony in his return from left knee surgery.
The Knicks star said in an interview with ESPN.com he’s ahead of schedule in his recovery from February surgery to repair a partially torn patellar tendon.
“I’m doing extremely well,” Anthony said. “Rehab is going very, very well. I’m actually ahead of schedule [compared] to where everybody predicted I would be at this point in time.
“It’s going very well.”
Anthony, who said in April he would be ready for the start of training camp, averaged 24.
