Carmelo Anthony Comments on Requesting Less Minutes

With six games remaining on the schedule, all eyes are on the future of the New York Knicks. New York has been eliminated from the playoffs, its 2015-16 roster features a number of players who are approaching free agency, and a key veteran is seemingly on the way out.

The players and executives have spoken, and the coaches will now oblige: the youth movement will arrive during the final six games of the 2015-16 season.

Interim head coach Kurt Rambis revealed to reporters that several veterans requested that he cut their minutes. This isn’t an attempt to rest or preserve their bodies, but instead a decision made by the leaders to give the younger players more playing time.
