Greg Monroe is making his debut tonight for the Milwaukee Bucks after signing a fancy three-year, $50 million deal.
His signing in Milwaukee was a large surprise, because the general consensus around the league was that the New York Knicks were the front-runners. In fact, reports about Monroe and the Knicks began to emerge long before this summer’s free agency period, per the New York Daily News.
Phil Jackson‘s long connection to David Falk, agent to both Monroe and Michael Jordan, fueled the rumors that he was going a triangle offense stalwart.
