There was a moment, fleeting to be sure, when Brook Lopez longed to play at home in California. Then it hit him.
Brooklyn is home.
“I thought for a split second it might be nice to go to California and go home but then I thought about it. I’ve been here for so long, this is home,” Lopez said Thursday when he officially was introduced as part of the Nets’ free-agency haul at Barclays Center.
What will make it even more like home for Lopez, who got a three-year, $64 million contract that, given his medical history, contains injury protections for the Nets, is twin brother Robin playing for the Knicks.
