Bondy: Melo summoning Dolan to drop kazoo, help fix Knicks

With the way this is building into a study in incompetent management, the way Phil Jackson is tweeting and Derek Fisher was canoodling across the country, Carmelo Anthony has every right to march into James Dolan’s office with the following demand: it’s either me or Jackson.

Not that Anthony, who is sensitive to the perception that he ran Jeremy Lin out of town, would ever make such an ultimatum. But his 48 hours of insubordination feels like a cry for help, an indirect plea for Dolan to drop the kazoo and get involved. Because a franchise based around an antiquated offense with a roster full of role players has already done enough undermining to the backend of Anthony’s prime.
