LOS ANGELES – Anthony Davis, who had the Knicks on his trade destination wish list last season, didn’t want to address why he may have wanted to be in the Big Apple.
He’s a happy Laker now – forming a massive tandem with LeBron James, giving very little hope he’ll want to leave La-La Land as a free agent this summer. As expected, Davis on Tuesday rejected a four-year, $146 million max extension, according to Yahoo Sports, as he would be eligible for a larger contract with the Lakers by becoming a free agent.
“(It) was something I thought about in the past,” Davis said following the Lakers’ morning shootaround Tuesday before facing the Knicks at Staples Center.
