DENVER — Mitchell Robinson hasn’t played on this six-game western trip, but it’s still been a journey of firsts.
In Utah, the 20-year-old rookie center saw snow in person for the first time. In Denver on New Year’s Eve, he experienced his first snowfall. He’s not your typical NBA rookie.
“Yeah. It was my first time seeing it,” Robinson said at Tuesday’s morning shootaround at Pepsi Center. “You don’t get that in the South. We don’t get that down there. Seeing it was kind of amazing.”
It’s been tough sledding for the Knicks — pun intended — as their preparation for their first game of the new year was covered in a full-day snowstorm in Denver.
