Amar’e Stoudemire’s attempted NBA comeback this summer failed, and so the former Knicks star is officially headed to China.
Stoudemire, 36, signed with the Fujian Sturgeons of the Chinese Basketball Association, ESPN reported Wednesday.
It’s the latest move for the former six-time All-Star, a big man whose knees broke down after signing a five-year, $100 million contract with Knicks in 2010.
Stoudemire was bought out by the Knicks five years later, and he last played in the NBA with the Heat in 2015-16.
He has since hooped in Israel and Ice Cube’s Big3 league, which consists of former NBA players including Gilbert Arenas.
