The New York Knicks fired David Fizdale last season after a miserable start to the 2019-20 season, but now, they are ready to bring in a new head coach. The New York Knicks are going to interview former Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Tom Thibodeau. Thibodeau is reportedly at the top of the Knicks’ wishlist this offseason, as they believe he can lead RJ Barrett, Mitchell Robinson, Julius Randle and more of the New York Knicks back to the NBA Playoffs.

The New York Knicks are also reportedly set to interview former Brooklyn Nets’ head coach, Kenny Atkinson. Atkinson was fired from the Brooklyn Nets after notable players were pushing for him to be moved. Atkinson led the Brooklyn Nets to one playoff appearance in four years with the team, but in that one appearance, the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Brooklyn Nets in just five games. The New York Knicks will now consider him for the head coaching position.

Mike Miller reportedly gained the trust and respect of multiple players on the New York Knicks during his short time as interim head coach.
