The NBA finals only just ended, but the New York Knicks have focused on the offseason for some time now. It was a busy day for the Knicks, as they swung a trade that netted them point guard Derrick Rose. But with free agency starting July 1st, there are plenty of rumors about what the Knicks will do next. Here are all the latest Knicks rumors and news you need to know.
Dwight Howard To New York?
The Knicks, thanks to their trade of Robin Lopez in the Rose deal, are now in need of a new center. One of the centers on the open market is Dwight Howard and he's open to joining the Knicks, reports ESPNNewYork’s Ian Begley:
The Knicks are one of several teams Dwight Howard would consider in free agency, league sources say. Howard told friends earlier in the season that he was interested in playing for the Knicks; that interest remains as Howard approaches free agency, per league sources. It’s unclear, though, if Phil Jackson and the Knicks would have any interest in Howard. They signed Robin Lopez to a four-year contract last summer. Lopez was a bright spot for the club during last year’s 32-win campaign. The club is expected to have at least $30 million in cap space this summer.
With Lopez gone, the money factor is no longer an issue. However, he's not the only center the Knicks could have interest in.
Rose Joined By A Former Teammate?
In addition to Howard, the Knicks could target Joakim Noah to play center.
Sources: In addition to the Knicks, the Nets also have interest in free agent Joakim Noah. He attended Brooklyn's Poly Prep HS for two years

Noah battled injuries and was benched last year and appears on his way out of New York. Scotto's report was backed by Frank Isola, who also threw out the name Pau Gasol (plus Howard). It sounds like the Knicks will use some of their cap space on a center this offseason.
