The New York Knicks haven't made any moves in free agency yet, but they are targeting SG Dion Waiters. The Knicks are one of the few teams Waiters is still considering.

Waiters put up 15.8 points per game last year and the Heat want to retain him after missing out on Gordon Hayward. But the Knicks at least have a shot to steal him away. It's also worth mentioning that GM Steve Mills once tried to trade for Waiters.
It's unclear how much Waiters is asking for or what the Knicks are willing to offer him. It would be a bit of a homecoming for Waiters, who played his college ball at Syracuse.
The addition of Waiters would give the Knicks another wing option. They've been linked to potential trades involving both Carmelo Anthony and Courtney Lee. New York is also looking for a veteran PG option.
