The New York Knicks are looking for ways to upgrade their roster, and team president Phil Jackson has reportedly targeted Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio as someone he wants to acquire, according to Sportando:
Rubio has dealt with his fair share of injuries during his four-year NBA career, tearing his ACL in 2013 and suffering an ankle injury that limited him to just 22 games in the 2014-15 season.
While Rubio is widely considered to be one of the NBA's top pass-first point guards, the Timberwolves have spent two of their past three first-round picks on combo guard Zach LaVine and point guard Tyus Jones, making him an expendable part of Minnesota's young rebuild.
Rubio averaged 10.3 points, 8.8 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game last season.
