Knicks trade Tyson Chandler to the Mavs, Dallas now in on Melo?

What was just a part of Knicks rumors a few short hours ago is now a reality, as the New York Knicks have traded Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton to the Dallas Mavericks for two potential starters and a host of other assets.

Per Adrian Wojnarowski, "the Knicks will receive center Sam Dalembert and guards Jose Calderon, Shane Larkin and Wayne Ellington and the Mavericks' two second-round picks in Thursday's NBA draft – the 34th and 51st overall selections, sources said."

With the trade now officially finalized, the New York Knicks have begun a roster overhaul which could become even more pronounced with their two new picks at the back end of Thursday's NBA Draft.

Picking up Calderon and Dalembert will almost certainly alter the team's 2014-15 starting lineup, with Larkin and Ellington giving the team quality rotation players on the middle of the bench.

On Dallas' end, the Mavs can now conceivably clear up $33 million in cap space in order to make a run at a max contract player in free agency - with the Knicks' Carmelo Anthony rumored to be one of their top targets.
