With Steve Kerr headed to the Golden State Warriors, Phil Jackson and the Knicks will now have to look elsewhere for their next head coach.
Shaw - currently the head coach of the Denver Nuggets - tried to distance himself from the Knicks earlier this week, but ESPN claims Phil Jackson and co. will make a serious run at him anyway.
“I'm not interested in doing anything other than what I'm doing right now." Shaw told the Denver Post.
If Shaw is truly out of the running, the Knicks are expected to look more closely at Mark Jackson, Kurt Rambis, and former Phil Jackson assistant Jim Cleamons.
