In Knicks rumors today, the New York Knicks may have a new scout in their basketball operations department which new president of basketball operations Phil Jackson is very familiar with.
Per Frank Isola of the NY Daily News, Jackson is considering hiring Clarence Gaines Jr., the son of legendary Winston-Salem State University coach Clarence "Big House" Gaines, Sr., for a job in the Knicks' scouting department --

Gaines Jr.'s father, Clarence "Big House" Gaines Sr. had a 47-year coaching career at Winston-Salem State University. Despite the relative non-exposure of the program by national standards, "Big House" amassed a sterling resume' -- reaching ninth on the all-time NCAA wins list, along with being inducted to the Basketball Hall-of-Fame in 1982.
Clarence Gaines Jr. is currently a scout for the Chicago Bulls.
