His former Kentucky Wildcats teammate Karl-Anthony Towns may be getting all the publicity, but Trey Lyles has caught the attention of several teams at the top of the 2015 NBA Draft, including the New York Knicks.
Here's Kyle Williams of The Courier-Journal with the report:
According to a report from Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, the New York Knicks "for months have been enamored with Trey Lyles," and Knicks President Phil Jackson believes the 6-10 power forward could serve as a solid fit for the triangle offense.
The Knicks, who entered this year's draft lottery with the second-best shot of landing the No. 1 overall pick, fell to fourth in the order. Jackson could certainly take a chance on Lyles with the No. 4 overall pick if Towns, Duke's Jahlil Okafor or Ohio State product and Louisville native D'Angelo Russell are selected.
