The New York Knicks have signed big men Lou Amundson and Lance Thomas to their second 10-day contracts, according to ESPNNewYork's Ian Begley.
New York is going through a massive rebuilding effort, but President of Basketball Operations Phil Jackson has identified both as potential bench players for the future, pointing to the energy and work ethic they both bring when they're on the court.
Amundson is averaging 5.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks in 20.5 minutes per game in the two contests he's played in for New York. Thomas is averaging 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 20 minutes a game.
