In this Knicks rumors and news update, the New York Knicks are reportedly interested in free-agent guard Jordan Crawford - with the Golden State Warriors considering putting together a sign-and-trade which could make such an acquisition easier for the Knicks.
According to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports, the Warriors are willing to shop Crawford due to their wealth of backcourt options:

The Knicks are one of five teams for which such a deal could currently be desirable:

Crawford already qualifies as a journeyman four years into his NBA career - playing for four different teams over that span. Despite moving around so much, he has been an undeniable offensive weapon wherever he has landed.
Crawford has averaged double-digits in scoring during each of his four NBA seasons, including 11.0 points in a career-low 23 minutes per game in 2013-14.
With the specter of LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony's free agencies looming over the market at this point, role players such as Crawford are seeing themselves squeezed out of landing spots for the time being. Teams are guarding their cap space in such a way that even a relatively cheap contract for someone like Jordan Crawford seems prohibitive until Melo and LeBron land and second-tier free agents follow suit.
Therefore, a sign-and-trade could be Crawford's best option at this point - a scenario which the New York Knicks might end up as a prime contender if the Warriors' price is right.
