In Knicks rumors tonight, rumors are swirling like crazy with the news that New York Knicks coaching target Steve Kerr has turned his back on negotiations with the team -- signing a five-year deal to coach the Golden State Warriors.
Per Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, the Knicks' next target may not be a former player -- rather, it may be a current player --
Phil Jackson may have to wait a while to hire the next Knicks head coach... OKC guard Derek Fisher could be playing for another month.

Derek Fisher's name has also been tossed around for the Los Angeles Lakers' head coaching opening, however a move to the Knicks could make perfect sense.
Fisher excelled in the triangle offense under Jackson in Los Angeles, and is said to have an extremely good relationship with the Knicks' president of basketball operations.
Whether or not Fisher is a viable option at this point, the Knicks are going to have to think outside of the box in order to make a high-impact hire in the wake of Steve Kerr's decision to coach elsewhere.
