In today's look into Knicks rumors, the prevailing notion around the NBA is that New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony is destined to become a Chicago Bull - leaving an extra year and over $30 million in financial security in New York.
According to Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders, the Chicago Bulls are emerging as prime contenders in the Melo sweepstakes:
A number of executives around NBA believe Chicago is the frontrunner to land Carmelo Anthony. We'll see. A lot can change in coming weeks.

As Kennedy notes, things can definitely change. Just a day ago, reports out of New York indicated that the Knicks feel quite good about their chances of retaining Melo - even going so far as Knicks president Phil Jackson looking to set up a potential Carmelo Anthony/Pau Gasol combination at Madison Square Garden.
Per several sources close to the situation, Melo is expected to survey his options during the first week-and-a-half of free agency, with a decision expected near the end of the second week of July.
