The New York Knicks may be struggling to get the triangle offense, but it's their defense that has let them down in back-to-back losses to the Milwaukee Bucks and Minnesota Timberwolves. In fact, they gave up an average of 116 points per game in those defeats and have given up 105 points per contest in their 10 losses so far in 2014-15.
Per Al Iannazzone of Newsday.com, head coach Derek Fisher called it "really embarassing" that he had to ask his team to try harder during its loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
"A lot of things have to change," Fisher said. "But it's not really to talk about, it's just for us to do the work and get there. We can analyze it and converse about it, but it's still about finding a way to get the results that we want."
JR Smith concurred, saying 24 hours that things are "not fun anymore" with the losses continuing to pile up for the Knicks.
"We're professionals," Smith said after Wednesday night's loss to Minnesota. "It's not high school. This isn't college. When you're given an assignment, they expect you to execute the assignment. When you don't, stuff like this happens."
