New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony told ESPN Radio on Thursday that it's "very likely" that his last minutes of the 2014-15 NBA season will come in this weekend's All-Star Game at Madison Square Garden.
Per ESPN.com news services, "Anthony maintained that he plans to play in Sunday's game at Madison Square Garden, "even if it's just a few minutes" -- but could be done after that."
The Knicks have been extremely cautious with Anthony, reducing his minutes while the 12-year veteran battles a troublesome left knee.
"It's little things that I'm doing out there on the court," Anthony said of the frustration surrounding his constant knee soreness. "I'm restricted, I'm not getting that power or that bounce, and then to do something like I did today, I think I'm getting closer to that point. I think due to the lack of movement, the lack of explosiveness I have right now -- I'm just trying to compensate and try to figure it out as it goes along."
