The New York Knicks hold the No. 4 pick in the NBA Draft, giving them a plethora of options. Here are a few other scenarios they’re considering in the days leading up to the draft:
1) New York Targeting Kentucky's Trey Lyles In Draft?
His former Kentucky Wildcats teammate Karl-Anthony Towns may be getting all the publicity, but Trey Lyles has caught the attention of several teams at the top of the 2015 NBA Draft, including the New York Knicks.
Here’s Kyle Williams of The Courier-Journal with the report:
According to a report from Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, the New York Knicks “for months have been enamored with Trey Lyles,” and Knicks President Phil Jackson believes the 6-10 power forward could serve as a solid fit for the triangle offense.
The Knicks, who entered this year’s draft lottery with the second-best shot of landing the No. 1 overall pick, fell to fourth in the order. Jackson could certainly take a chance on Lyles with the No. 4 overall pick if Towns, Duke’s Jahlil Okafor or Ohio State product and Louisville native D’Angelo Russell are selected.
2) New York Willing To Trade It’s First-Round Pick
The New York Knicks didn’t have as high of a draft pick as they would have liked, and president Phil Jackson previously said he’d be open to trading the pick if they fell out of the top two or three.
Phil Jackson has said he will likely keep the pick if it falls within the top four, but will consider dealing the pick if it falls to No. 5. Of course, Jackson could change his thinking between now and draft night. League sources with knowledge of the Knicks’ thinking said last month that the team would be very open to trading the pick if it falls outside the top two.
3) New York Interested In Emmanuel Mudiay?
The New York Knicks and the three teams ahead of them in the 2015 NBA Draft order have a placed a call in to standout international point guard Emmanuel Mudiay’s agents:
The top 4 teams in the draft reached out to Emmanuel Mudiay's agents. He likely won't workout for them until early June, source tells @SNYtv

The Knicks are in the market for a franchise point guard one way or the other, especially with veteran Jose Calderon reportedly losing favor both with some executives in the organization and with a vocal portion of the team’s fan base.
Mudiay, a slash-and-kick guard with fantastic passing instincts, could very well fit that bill.
