Sheldon Richardson stood on the sideline, watching the end of regulation unfold in front of him and with his emotions hinging on every snap. Beside the third-year defensive lineman stood David Harris, one of a handful of veterans on the team who were around the last time the Jets made the postseason.
“This is what the playoffs feels like,” Richardson recalled Harris telling him in that moment.
“What do you mean?” Richardson said he asked Harris.
“Every play matters,” the linebacker told the defensive lineman. “Every play. Every down. Either you win or your lose, and if you lose you go home.
