Willie Colon, son of the Bronx and right guard for the Jets, looked out on the practice fields as training camp came to a close Thursday afternoon. He was focused on “letting it rip” in Saturday’s preseason game against the Giants, but he did not, he insisted, assign much value to the Snoopy Bowl matchup at the Meadowlands.
“We got bigger goals than playing the Giants in the preseason,” Colon says. “We gotta see them in the regular season. Right now we want to get off to a fast start. We want to not beat ourselves. We just want to establish our dominance.
