Jets veteran guard Willie Colon reiterated statements from earlier this spring that accountability was an issue for the team last year, but won’t be this year under new coach Todd Bowles.
“When you go 4-12 and you fight your tail off and you know you’re doing your best and it comes off as guys that maybe don’t seem as passionate as you are about the game, sometimes it does bother you,” Colon said. “But coach Bowles is the new sheriff in town. I believe in him. I feel like we won’t have those issues anymore.”
Tight end Jace Amaro caused a stir when he raised the accountability issue.
