FLORHAM PARK -- Since the Jets are rebuilding with younger players, what would be the point of them starting a 38-year-old quarterback, Josh McCown?
Jets coach Todd Bowles had a pithy response ready when asked this question Tuesday.
"Even when you go to kindergarten, somebody's got to be the teacher," Bowles said on the first day of the Jets' three-day mandatory minicamp.
Besides McCown -- who appears in the lead of the Jets' three-quarterback competition -- the organization has a second-year pro at the position (Christian Hackenberg) and a third-year pro (Bryce Petty).
