The Jets have bought themselves some time before they have to make a decision about left tackle Ryan Clady.
The team and Clady reworked his contract in December, a source confirmed, to push back the date by which the Jets need to determine whether to keep Clady, who started eight games for the team in 2016.
Clady was scheduled to have a $2.5 million roster bonus due in the middle of February. That was seen as the deadline for the team to decide whether to cut the veteran tackle, whose $7.5 million salary in 2017 was not guaranteed.
