Why Jets are not firing Todd Bowles (yet)

It appears Jets coach Todd Bowles is safe … for now.

Jets ownership did not fire Bowles on Monday morning after the team’s embarrassing 41-10 loss to the Bills. At 3-7, it is a near certainty that Bowles will be fired at the end of the season, but the belief right now is he will be the Jets coach for the final six games.

Jets CEO Christopher Johnson declined to comment on Bowles’ future after the game Sunday, but he was visibly upset after the team’s terrible outing, its fourth straight loss.

Johnson wanted to see progress this season, but the Jets appear to be getting worse.
