The New York Giants finally inked their first-round pick, running back Saquon Barkley, to a four-year, $31.2-million deal on Sunday. No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield followed suit on Tuesday, putting pen to paper with the Cleveland Browns. Those, plus a few other signings, have brought the list of unsigned 2018 NFL Draft picks down to just five players – with Jets quarterback Sam Darnold as the marquee name on the list.
Generally speaking, top picks that haven't signed – especially this late in the process – are haggling over contract language, not money.
